This EP was made almost in a vacuum. Just complete math noodles worship presented in the most insane way possible. No “songs”. It’s short. There’s no art. No band name. Just a blank slate in total juxtaposition to the music. To pack so much in to such a short EP like honestly made me so scared. What were these guys capable of. I had to know more. Thus started a multi-year project to get this EP realized on WV. If you know the PRR lore, you’ll know that this was not the first time that Hunter, Ben and I had crossed paths. It’s been fun to kind of rekindle that and present these works here in the midst of all the success Gnostician is having. My little contribution to the universe these guys are crafting. Like there’s all this connection to Weeping from Depreciator. To Alex from HARM. To another project you don’t know yet! Just awesome to discover that your friends and alumni have their hands in yet ANOTHER insane project that I get to be a part of!
I think this release is like, such a tentpole title for me because it really embodies everyting I love about doing WV. Small band, insane math, insane art (Thank you Alain Mathiot) and just the nicest guys. Sets a cool precedent, and gears up for a full length. We’re adding some cool peeps to the WV cinematic universe here, and it all starts with SONGS!

This is kind of a crazy one, and I can’t overstate how much I appreciate everyone grabbing a copy. It’s going to set a roadmap for this band, and really usher in an insane debut full length (coming soon)! If you’re a fan of just extreme music in general, I think you’ll get something out of this. The art is insane, the EP itself is the most ferocious math you’ve ever heard, and this “bonus track” (more lek bonus album) is the craziest vinyl-only WV style twist in the history of records. Really appreciate the length that Christopher went through to make this so special and really give the WV crowd a crazy experience, haha.
