I’m so happy to kick of February with the first of three preorders! I’m so so happy to welcome back The Heartland!
For the OGs, you’ll remember that the second WV release ever was The Heartland’s “Stars Outnumber the Dead” - one of my favorite mathy core albums ever. I’m so happy to show you what the heartland looks like in 2021 with more copies, and crazier variants!
Frontier is the ever elusive second full length from The Heartland and a legendary scene collectible. It takes the concepts and themes from Stars and turns it up to 11. It’s the perfect follow up and next step to the band's discography. The playfulness and levity is still there, but with more serious passages and more fleshed out sound and structure. The artwork is iconic, and this was only ever released on a short run of CDs that are now almost impossible to find. It's everything I love doing with WV, and I'm so happy they agreed to working on another project together!
For this release the audio was reworked by the band, and the art was handled by none other than Ben Hoagland. I think both capture the spirit of this release, and I promise you've never heard or seen this album like this before! In fact, maybe you didn't even know The Heartland had a second album - in which case, you're in for a treat! It's a lot of the same energy of Stars, and I think you'll really love it!

Everything about this release makes me so happy. It's an alumni release, over a year apart. It’s really going the juxtapose how far WV and the band has come over the course of this label. I’m so excited to share it with you all!
