Could Nichevember even be complete without the fucking KINGS in Pope Benedict???

Nothing get smore more excited than doing these full discography releases - especially when the total play time comes in at less than 18 minutes (if that doesn't tell you how hard these guys grind, I'm not sure what better case I can make). This incredible compellation spans their entire career, encompassing all their impossible to find CDs and 187 tracks. They sound amazing, and i think this is the first time the bands' discography has been presented in one place like this. If you're a fan (and if you're not, you should be) I can almost guarantee that there is a song or two in here you haven't heard.

Now that you've heard my pitch on the presentation, lets talk about Pope Benedict themselves. I promise you, they're your favorite screamo/revival band's favorite band. They're kind of the HORSE The Band of scene-era techgrind: the most popular unknown band. I remember hearing Confeso Diaz on that 187 sampler and being BLOWN AWAY. It's absolutely some of the most breakneck grindy noodly weirdo tech shit you've ever heard. It's a return to the Sawtooths and Destroyer Destroyers of WV past. Its a collection of some of the most elusive CDs and songs from the genre, remastered and ready to make your neighbors mad!

Art was handled by band member and artist extraordinaire Sergio Picos at Falso Arte! So happy to be able to incorporate even more band input in to the design process on this - I think the art turned out stellar! Plus! We haven’t had a green one in a while - I’m ready for some good looking green records! Announcement art by Lab 13!

And of course, all this art would be for not without an incredible remastering job from Zach at Third Eye! He’s gotten these sounding FANTASTIC - you’ve never head this material like this! It’s seamless.
