I never though there would be a timeline where this would be able to happen. I’m so so so happy that WV has evolved as a platform that can allow LITERALLY MACHINIST to be on vinyl for the first time!

During my formative years, there were a few labels that always had the best acts. The ones I followed to always keep a tab on the most extreme. At the top, was the LEGENDARY Debello Recordings.

You might remember them for putting out some other WV alumni: Destroyer Destroyer and Robinson. In that same vein, I’m pumped to announce the seminal, blistering, [effectively] one-off masterpiece that is the Machinist self titled.

For those that know, you know. This EP is all the best parts of MySpace techgrind. One second in to the first song and you know what’s about to go down. It’s scene-energy exemplar. Fried vocals, panicked chugs, harrowing breakdowns - it’s everything you want and more. The amount of energy and ferocity that’s been packed in to 11 minutes of sassgrind is just truly next level. If these vocals and frenzied song structures don’t get you pumped, I’m not sure what to tell you!

This is the kind of release that WV was designed for. The CD is a long standing scene collectible. It’s never been on vinyl. The band is elusive and hard to find. The songs are only on YouTube as MySpace rips. You’re going to love hearing these redone tracks (one again, thank you Zach Sebastian at Third Eye Studios)!

Art was once again handled by the incredible Ben Hoagland. This is an update on the typewriter on the original, and honestly might be one of my favorites! I punched up the purple and orange a lot to give some context for the variants - expect some might Sig Series stuff on this one!

As much as I would love this to be a 200 piece run, I think WV is large enough now where it not being 300 is a disservice. So, for the first and only time on vinyl please enjoy 5 amazing variants, including 3 signature series ones!

So there it is! Nichevember to a T! So so happy that Eddie and the gang all got together and let this happen. There’s some good photos on the insert, and the audio is truly going to be the benchmark for listening to Machinist going forward.
